Staff and pay

Hours, leave and commission go straight into each person’s monthly pay.

Your team’s payWatch the film, 1:22

How it works

  1. Give each employee a role

A role decides what an employee may do: take orders, refund, edit the catalog, send WhatsApp, discount up to a set percentage, approve for others, record paid-outs, remove paid lines and open the drawer without a sale.

  2. Clock in at the POS

Employees clock in and out on the POS. Weekly schedules take effect from a date you set, leave is paid, unpaid or sick and waits for your approval, and correcting attendance needs a reason.

  3. Commission on their own sales

A percentage of the sales an employee rings up, before VAT. A refund comes off the month it is issued in, and never takes commission below zero.

  4. The month stays a draft

Each person’s pay is a prorated base, plus their hourly rate for hours worked and on paid leave, plus commission. The month’s payroll run is a draft that keeps up as the month goes, until you lock it.

  5. Check it, then lock it

You lock it once, and every line is kept as it stood, in one audited step. Until then the P&L shows pay as an estimate; after, as final. The run can be exported.

The rules

Owner only
Adding, changing and suspending employees, and their pay, are the owner’s alone, in the console. Pay needs the finance feature of your plan.
Suspend or terminate
One audited step clears their PIN and keeps them out of new sessions. A session already open can run up to 15 minutes, and suspending is refused while their shift is open.
Leaving and returning
Suspending does not stop pay. Terminating ends the pay plan on their last day, and a former employee can be rehired.
Not included
GOSI, allowances, deductions, advances, overtime rules and end-of-service. No payslips, WPS file or bank payments: you pay people yourself.

POS

Sell at the counter, offline too

Stay in charge when you’re not at the counter.

Four things the system handles on its own, so the shop runs the way you set it up.

See what each employee actually makes you

Set a base and a percentage. Tamem works it out from the sales each person rang up, so you stop rebuilding it in a spreadsheet every month.

Orders keep going with the line down

The counter holds them on the device and syncs when the connection returns. Each carries its own id, so nothing lands twice.

Queued 3, synced 3, duplicates 0

Cut someone off at every till

Suspend someone and their PIN stops working at once, on every till, in one audited step. If they have a shift open, close it first.

Suspended 14:22, PIN cleared 14:22

Discounts get a second set of eyes

Past the limit you set, the order waits for a manager. The system holds it, not an honour system.

Limit 15%, asked for 30%, held for a manager

Take a real order on it first.

We set it up with your catalog and your prices, on your counter. You watch it print, and decide.
