Appointments

Appointments go on a staff calendar that only offers free times, and customers book and cancel them from the customer app.

Walk-ins and bookingsWatch the film, 1:22

How it works

  1. Customers or staff book

Customers book in the customer app when the branch is listed on the marketplace; staff book walk-ins. One appointment can hold several services, each with its own staff member.

  2. Only free times are offered

The calendar shows each branch and staff member by day or week. A time someone already holds is never offered, and the database itself refuses a double booking.

  3. The diary runs the visit

At the till, the diary moves each appointment through check-in, in service and complete. Canceling or marking a no-show asks for a reason.

  4. The customer is told

When an appointment changes, the customer gets a push notification in the customer app. Only a reschedule also goes by WhatsApp.

The rules

Booking policy
Each shop sets its slot length, the minimum notice, how far ahead customers may book, how late they may cancel, and how long before a late arrival can be marked a no-show.
Price changes
A price change by staff needs the PIN of someone whose role may approve it, never the person asking. Each approval covers that one change and nothing else.
Early no-shows
Marking a no-show before the shop’s waiting time is up needs a manager’s override.
When it’s on
When the shop answers in setup that customers book appointments, and the plan includes it. The clinic preset answers yes from the start; any shop can turn it on.
Not included
Paying an appointment’s balance at the till, selling packages or credits, customers rescheduling from the app, an agenda view, and WhatsApp confirmations.
