Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Tamem apps and this website. In short: we provide the software, the shop provides the service, and you pay the shop.
01This agreement
This is an agreement between you and Tamem, commercial registration 0000, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By creating an account or using the apps you accept it. If you do not accept it, do not use the service.
Our privacy policy explains what we do with your personal data and forms part of these terms.
02What we do, and what the shop does
Tamem is software that connects you to independent shops — laundries, barbershops and other businesses — and to the till those shops run at their counter. We are not the shop, we are not its agent, and we do not wash, cut, repair, store or deliver anything.
When you place an order, your contract for that service is with the shop. The shop sets the price, decides what it will and will not accept, does the work, and is responsible for the result. Our responsibility is for the software: that it takes your order accurately, shows you its true status and does what this agreement says it does.
A complaint about the work itself — a garment damaged, a service not as described, an order late — is between you and the shop, and the app gives you a way to raise it with them. We will help where we can, but we cannot decide it for either of you.
03Your account
- You need a Saudi mobile number to register, and it must be yours. We send your sign-in code to it.
- Give us details that are true, and keep them current. A shop uses them to reach you about your own order.
- Your account is yours alone. Anything done through it is treated as done by you, so keep your device, your code and your password to yourself.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
- The apps are for adults ordering for themselves.
04Orders and appointments
An order or a booking you place through the app is a request to that shop. It becomes binding when the shop accepts it. A shop can decline, and it can tell you an item is not something it will take.
Cancelling, rescheduling, how long an item is held after it is ready, and what happens to something left uncollected are all the shop's own policy. Ask the shop; the app shows you what it has told us.
The status you see in the app is the status the shop's staff recorded at the counter. It is as current as their last update, and an update made while a device is offline appears once that device reconnects.
05Prices, VAT and payment
- The shop sets its prices. We display them; we do not set them and we do not take a cut of what you pay.
- Prices include Saudi value added tax at the applicable rate, and your invoice shows the tax separately.
- You pay the shop, at the shop. There is no payment inside the customer app — no card details, no wallet top-up, no checkout.
- Your invoice is issued by the shop, under its own tax registration, and complies with Saudi e-invoicing requirements.
- A refund is the shop's to give, on its own terms.
06Loyalty, store credit and gift cards
Points, store credit and gift cards are issued by a shop and are valid at that shop only. They are not money, not transferable between shops, and not redeemable for cash unless the shop says otherwise or the law requires it. The shop decides how they are earned and spent, and it owes them to you — we record the balance.
If a shop closes or leaves the platform, what it owes you remains owed by that shop. We cannot settle it in its place.
07What you upload
You keep ownership of the photos and text you add — a complaint, a note, a profile picture. You give us permission to store them and to show them to the shop concerned, for as long as needed to deal with the matter they relate to. Upload only what is yours to upload, and only what is relevant to your order.
08Using the service properly
Do not:
- Place orders you do not intend to collect or pay for.
- Use someone else's identity, number or account.
- Try to reach data that is not yours, probe the service for weaknesses, or interfere with how it runs.
- Copy, scrape or resell the service or the content in it.
- Upload anything unlawful, or content that is not yours.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently. Where we can, we will tell you why.
09Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. It depends on networks, devices and providers outside our control, and we need to take it down for maintenance from time to time.
We add features and retire them. If we withdraw something you rely on, or change these terms in a way that affects you materially, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the change; if you would rather not accept it, you can delete your account.
Older versions of an app are supported for a period and then stop working with the service. The app tells you when you need to update.
10If you are a shop using the till
The point-of-sale app is licensed to a business under a separate subscription agreement with Tamem, and that agreement governs it — including the plan, the fee, the staff who may use it and the shop's own obligations to its customers and to ZATCA. These terms cover a shop's staff only as individual users of the app. Where the two disagree, the subscription agreement prevails.
A shop is responsible for the accuracy of what it publishes on the platform — its prices, its services and its hours — and for issuing correct tax invoices to its own customers.
11Our software stays ours
The apps, this website, the Tamem name and everything in them belong to us or to our licensors. You get permission to use them for their purpose, personally and not exclusively, and nothing more. That permission ends when your account does.
12Ending this agreement
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app, with no notice to us. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what deletion does and what has to remain for tax reasons.
We can end this agreement if you break it, or if we stop offering the service. Deleting your account does not cancel an order already placed or a debt already owed to a shop.
13What we are and are not responsible for
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond what this agreement states, and beyond what Saudi law requires of us, we make no other promise about it.
We are not responsible for the work a shop does or fails to do, for what it charges, for goods it holds for you, or for a dispute between you and it. We are not responsible for a network, a device or an app store outside our control.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that Saudi law does not permit us to limit.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and any dispute is for the competent Saudi courts. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
The Arabic text of these terms is the authoritative version. Other languages are provided for convenience.
